THE CAGE ST. OSYTH - BOOKINGS AND EVENTS

In the pagan month of October and the following winter months the fog slowly rolls in off the sea and engulfs the ancient village of St Osyth. This history laden land whispers memories of  folk law, legend,  witch craft and martyrdom. The silence of the fog is only broken from the hoots of the owls and cries from the night creatures on the ancient priory grounds.  You can walk through the moody atmosphere of this village and hear the locals chatting and laughing coming from inside the village pub and hear the rattles and bangs of the shop keepers and village folk  locking their doors  for the evening as if to stay protected from the fog before it blinds the village and the witching hour is upon us once again.

The smell of burning wood and coal hangs heavy in the still air coming from the many chimney pots from the wooden cottages. Grand houses and various dwellings of the rich and poor that still exist from St Osyth Old England today. Amongst these dwellings  across from the priory clock tower next to the old kings arms pub and at the start or end of coffin alley depending on which way you are

traveling is The Cage Medieval prison where the dead don’t rest and the living can still see and hear them to this very day.
